What do you do when you are so timid that you can't bring yourself to speak up in front of people? Well, for one, you don't go and join a club that requires you to act in front of a crowd as you speak loud enough for everyone to hear. Nevertheless, Asai Mugi, a cute freshman high school student, finds herself in just that situation when she is forced to join the Acting Research Club at Kumadaka Art Academy. Just what does a member of the"acting research" club do? What's up with there being two drama clubs who will be competing in the upcoming cultural festival to see which club gets to stay and which gets disbanded? With every club member determined to make Mugi into a great actress, how is she to cope with the pressure?
